Interview with cherrybomb
How long have you been selling your used panties and what inspired you to begin?

I've been selling my panties for only a few, short months, but I've loved it since the very beginning. This is something I plan to do for (hopefully) a long time. I had been contemplating to start for a few weeks and was skeptical and nervous about the whole process. I have always been very shy and honestly a little embarrassed about myself; the way my body looks, the kinks that I am into, the scent that I produce, and the list goes on and on. I was tired of feeling this way and decided to make a change. I wanted to be proud of myself and embrace all the things, big or small, that make me a unique, sensual, beautiful woman.

Do you do any other type of adult work?

Since I am so new to this, I wanted to begin taking things slow. I didn’t want to bite off more than I could chew and then end up being too overwhelmed to continue selling my panties. But I am slowly getting around to selling other things, such as socks, pictures, videos, a snapchat, and more. And there’s definitely more to come! I eventually want to start camming a little farther down the road and see how I enjoy that. So stay tuned!

What do you enjoy most about selling worn panties?

What I enjoy most is the empowerment and confidence it gives me. I still have days where I feel insecure and upset over my body (as I’m sure everyone does), but I’ve noticed a drastic change in how I perceive myself overall. Little things that I used to be embarrassed of before, I now show off with pride. This website and everyone who is a part of it continues to help me feel special, unique, and sexy every single day.

Do you ever get requests that are too extreme for you?

What I would have considered extreme at the beginning of this journey and in this moment differ greatly. At first I was way too shy to offer pictures, videos, snapchat, camming sessions, and more. I thought of all those to be too much for me and now here I am becoming more and more comfortable with those items (some I now offer and some I’m still considering.) I’m a big believer in going out of your comfort zone, and doing it often! You never know what you may find and what you may end up liking. That being said, there are some things I don’t know if I could ever try, for personal health reasons, though I have yet to turn down a request!

Any of your friends or family know or is this a secret pursuit for you?

None of my family is aware and only a few close friends know. I even persuaded one of my best friends to join (Velvethacker, check her out!) I don’t really mind though; I enjoy my secrets and I know my family would not be the biggest fan. I feel as if I’m already the black sheep enough, there’s no need to give my grandparents a heart attack and be the topic of discussion at Thanksgiving. Some things are better left unsaid, in my opinion. My boyfriend also knows and is so supporting. I know that his girlfriend selling her worn panties on the internet probably isn’t his favorite thing in the world, and I am just thankful he is so loving, understanding, and trusting.

What do you do for fun in your spare time?

Well, whenever I’m not busy with class, homework, work, cleaning, etc., I love to be outside. Summer is my favorite season and if I’m not cooped up inside with responsibilities, you’ll find me outside taking a walk with my dog, laying out by the pool, finding a nice place to sit and read, and more. I am also a huge movie buff (this comes in handy for those colder months.) I love watching new movies, re-watching my favorites (I’ve probably seen Fight Club over 300 times, I wish I was kidding,) learning about the movie making process and the cinematography behind it, the list goes on and on. Other than that, I love reading, hanging out with my friends, online shopping, and I am currently trying to learn how to play the guitar!

What do you think contributes most to your success in this business?

For myself it has definitely been being open minded, leaving my comfort zone, and pushing myself to try new things. Even though I haven’t been doing this for very long, I still consider myself to be very successful because of the changes I’ve seen in my own self-esteem, the new friends I’ve made along the way, and the things I’ve learned about myself and my own sexuality! (And who am I kidding, the money is pretty great, too!) Being yourself, being friendly, and going above and beyond to meet your customers’ needs/wants and make them feel special are also important factors.

What’s the best advice you could give to new sellers?

Some advice that I had given my friend was to stay active. I know it can get a little boring if there’s no one actively interacting with you, but keep in mind, that’s just part of it. Some things take time. I suggest continuing to add listings over a period of time instead of all at once, uploading pictures and statuses periodically, and checking your profile at least once a day. It will take off, I promise! For myself, I also found taking things slow really helped me. Whenever I first started, I only sold panties, nothing else. Once I got the hang of that, I started selling pictures and videos. And now I’ve even moved on to integrating other social media outlets to possibly branch out and grow my cliental; I’m using Twitter, Tumblr, and Snapchat. I know that if I would have tried to do all of this at once, I would have gotten overwhelmed and probably would have given up.

How does Scented Pansy compare to other panty selling sites?

I don’t really have much to say regarding this question. ScentedPansy was the first online panty selling site I visited when looking into the idea and the only one I have joined. After sometime, however, I did check out other sites, but I didn’t like the monthly price or the layouts of the websites. When it comes to other platforms, such as Tumblr, that I’ve joined to grow my cliental, ScentedPansy still wins. In fact, I haven’t had much success come from my social media pages, but they are still fairly new. They possibly may be more beneficial after some time.

Anything on your mind that you'd like to express that wasn't addressed in the interview?

I just want to give thanks to everyone who has been a part of this process, no one knows the wonders it has truly done for me and how beneficial it has been. Thank you to my clients for being so friendly and sweet and thank you ScentedPansy for creating such a safe and welcoming space!
